OEC sends the Children of Fallen US Troops Christmas Gift Cards
during the Christmas Holidays. The Christmas Gift Cards are a small
token of Americas and your respectful appreciation of the sacrifice they 
have made for our nation. We also hope through our programs, to
have a small part in helping them recover from the grief and trauma
caused by the loss of a parent in war.

For many of these children it will be their first Christmas without a father
or mother. We all know and love the look on a child's face when they

even if only for a while as they excitedly open their presents.
Your donation can help bring a lil' extra cheer, a few extra moments
of Christmas joy to these children and show that America will not forget them.

Your contribution purchases Personalized Christmas Gift Cards that can be used at any retailer. Children can get or Santa can get, the toys, sporting goods, electronics, or other items on their Santa list. This is the most efficient and cost effective way to send these children the presents they have asked Santa to bring them for Christmas.  

(Please do not send gift cards. Gift cards are purchased in even amounts and personalized with the childs name by OEC. We cannot verify amounts of Cards from donors.)                                

The Christmas Gift Cards are put in a Christmas Card with a
copy of several Donor Sentiments, placed in an envelope and sent by
Ground Carrier to the children.  Those cards that are sent just prior to
Christmas Day are sent 1 or 2 day air to be sure the children get them
before Santa arrives.

I just wanted to send this picture along as you'd asked of my kids w/their gift cards. They were absolutely thrilled with them! And pleasantly surprised, too. They held onto them and then on the one year anniversary of their Dad's death, January 5, I took them out to let them spend it, after we had an observance at home and visited the cemetary. I just wanted them to also have some happy memories of that day, and thanks to your organization this was made possible. Thank you again from all of us and I know Mike would especially thank you too, for helping to look out for his family in his absence.
